Once more with feeling, it's the luvverly, one-day-late Friday Five!!!

1. What do you most want to be remembered for?

Creating a half-decent, one-hour TV show which enraptured a hardcore of like-minded nerdy boys and geek grrls, and provided them with escapist fun for at least one part of their viewing week. And penning an SF flick which won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar would be kind of neat, too.

2. What quotation best fits your outlook on life?

"Free your mind" - Morpheus (via Larry and Andy Wachowski).

3. What single achievement are you most proud of in the past year?

Sending off that penpal ad to "SFX" magazine.

4. What about the past ten years?

See answer number three. Or the first time that I successfully hooked up my Sony Home Cinema reciever and subjected my neighbours to a DVD compilation mix of James Cameron's Dolby Digital and Dts explosions...(They were as terrible a neighbour as you could hope to find, and deserved every minute of it).

5. If you were asked to give a child a single piece of advice to guide them through life, what would you say?

Trust your instincts, be nice to other people (even when they don't deserve it) and listen to people when they suggest that working hard at school is ultimately for your own benefit. It doesn't matter if you don't like the environment that you're being educated in, or the people who purport to teach you: See the bigger picture and realise that what you get out of your learning years is vastly more important than pursuing spurious notions of surly adolescent cool and slacking off. The impact on your life of education is impossible to quantify until you have the benefit of that knowledge which you have acquired. Aspire to learn and put that learning to good use, for your own good and for the good of those around you.

That qualifies as one piece of advice, right?
