Face it - you had an inkling about this, didn't you?

You are Neo
You are Neo, from "The Matrix." You

compassion.

Yet still more intriguing Matrix stuff, from the fascinating The Matrix. Talkinbout.us blog, which is well worth your time if you were thrilled, bamboozled or otherwise engaged by "...Reloaded" (With thanks to Matrix Essays for the heads-up).

Just a note to say that Righteous K., my Mother-In-Law, the redoubtable Mrs Righteous K. and your humble blogsmith attended another spiffy secret preview screening at our local UGC UltraPlex on Monday evening, and after much head-scratching as to the title of the pic that we were to appraise for the benefit of our fellow consumers, enjoyed the ludicrously overwrought, moderately upscale John Cusack/Ray Liotta slash-'em-up, "Identity"
(The purpose of these advanced screenings for holders of UGC's excellent "Unlimited" cards is to recommend films to fellow movie geeks, on the basis, I suppose, that punters are more likely to believe the word of their fellow, fee-paying brethren than the opinions of paid, professional critics...).

I'll try and return with a fuller review soon, but it has a twist-in-the-tale which will either (A) prompt you to hunt down director James Mangold and give him a smart cuffing around the ears for helming such preposterous bobbins or (B) have you really enjoying the experience, but being acutely aware that this is nothing more than an early 80s slice-and-dice fest with arguably better actors and a slightly bigger budget to fabricate decapitated heads with.

To be honest, I prefer my horror flicks to be not as pretentious and a lot less self-regarding than "Identity" ultimately was.

Jeez, at least "Jason X" is supposed to be funny
